THEL
| Saturday 12 February

THEL is an organic embrace, a fragile mass of manual labour, a soft landscape.
A commission for Iceland Dance Company, THEL (2019) is a dynamic, flowing performance of seven dancers – exploring bodily relationships and ideas of boundaries and contact – merging and blurring them. Working with qualities of softness, fragility, quietness, slowness and sensitive, intimate encounters,THEL weaves movements together and connects intricate threads between dancers, creating an intimate and mesmerising experience. THEL was nominated for ten Icelandic Performing Arts Awards in 2020 and won the awards for Choreographer of the Year and Dancer of the Year.
